Your ChallengeFor our Life Sciences & Environment division at Washington site in North Carolina, US.
Overall responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong and effective relationships between Procurement (PU) and its internal business partners as well as external partners and suppliers, ensuring the business needs are understood and value-add from PU is provided and optimized.
Assumes the PU responsibility for MANN+HUMMEL's Life Sciences & Environment division in the region Americas including the regional purchasing volume (direct and indirect materials).
Understands business needs, requirements, performance drivers, and critical success factors to actively drive the impact of the PU organization towards reaching our regional targets.
Leading the regional planning, forecasting, and reporting of PU KPIs, especially material price, and ratio project development.
Initiates and implements ratio projects and cross-functional savings projects.
Acts as voice of customer into PU to translate the needs and requirements of the business into the respective PU function and vice versa as voice of PU into the regional leadership team.
Actively steering of the supplier performance and supplier quality to ensure the best cost-performance ratio for the business.
Provides commodity, technology, and supplier market know-how for the organization.
Leads the regional PU team incl the overall responsibility for the PU organization.
Ensure the continuous development of PU employees in best-in-class skills, e.

, negotiation, commercial, technical, legal, risk management, project management.
Works independently and responsibly respecting company guidelines and corporate governance.
Pragmatic with a hands-on approach and driven by impactful execution.
Your ProfileEducation:
Bachelor's or ideally master's degree with a technical or economics focus and a main subject in procurement or comparable.
Experience:
15 years of professional procurement experience in an international context, preferably in the life sciences and environment industry.
Proven track record of successfully conducted negotiations with a positive impact on supplier quality, -development, -cost or further sourcing activities.
Excellent negotiation techniques and proven track record of managing supplier relations as well as supplier related initiatives.

Persuasive appearance with superior communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, to effectively address all levels.
Strong leadership skills demonstrated by evidence of leading high performing teams Legal and contract management knowledge.
Savvy in applying predictive analytics to derive actionable insights from structured and unstructured big data.
Ability to travel - 50% Preferred Skills:
Strong project management skills.
Ability to make data driven decisions and be comfortable with metrics/ROI driven models.
Languages:
Excellent fluency in English (written and spoken), 2nd language appreciated.
