We have been operating for more than 25 years and are looking for a director to lead our new program in Hanover Park.
We are looking for someone who is dedicated and passionate about young learners, and who wants to make a positive impact in the early childhood community.

We use a play-based curriculum (Creative Curriculum), research-based assessment tools (ASQ) and promote strong family involvement/participation.
Qualifications Education/Experience Graduation from an accredited University or college with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in child development or related field.
Minimum of five years' experience in administration and supervision.
Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with a team of people.
Good judgment in making decisions, recognizing established precedents, and demonstration of resourcefulness in meeting problems.
Preferred candidates will have an Illinois Director Credential (unless holds another NAEYC recognized Director Credential), CLASS Certification and/or Illinois ECE or Infant Toddler Level V or higher credential.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with families, staff and other stakeholders and constituents and act as a role model to others.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely present ideas and concepts and tailor communication to multiple, non-technical audiences including team, families, and other constituents.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email; ability to learn and adapt to new technology Program Management Implements programming in accordance with ABC Toon Town's mission.
This includes program management, staff leadership and supervision.
Monitors and supports the implementation of quality program practices in accordance with city and state licensing requirements, and ExceleRate Illinois(TM).
Supports staff in preparing for these visits.
Maintains compliance with local, state, and future funding agencies (i.
e.
Preschool for All/Expansion).
Ensures high quality programming by providing a safe, interactive and engaging environment that assures the well-being of children.
Monitors safety and cleanliness of program facility/areas and outdoor play areas.
Displays the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards (including the NAEYC Code of Ethics) when working with students, parents, personnel and other agencies associated with the program.
Plans and conducts staff meetings.
Conducts tours of the facility for potential families; manages enrollment and waiting lists.
Supports implementation and oversight of the Creative Curriculum System as the essential curriculum.
Assists in grant applications and grant reporting as needed.
