Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking an excellent Customer Service/Account Manager for our team. This role is Temp to Hire, $12-$13/hr. on a temporary basis and $40K plus yearly bonus once perm.
Must have a Bachelor Degree and excellent communication skills.
Job summary
As the primary liaison between Carriers and Company, the role of the Customer Service/Account Manager is to identify customer transportation requirements, develop relationships with carriers and ensure we secure services to meet those needs. In performing this function there is also a responsibility to negotiate rates with carriers, participate in the contracting process and ensure capacity commitments are met. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and recording non-conformance deviations to continuously identify and correct supply chain performance.
We are seeking an experienced individual has demonstrated success in relationship building, rate negotiations, and contracting with Intermodal, Truckload, and LTL service providers
Summary of essential job functions
This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager:
Processing shipment data into Company system as needed (manually adding trips or triggering electronic data imports).
Maintain shipper profiles on assigned shipping locations.
Maintain consignee delivery profiles.
Assign and select carriers based on location lane requirements and cost.
Negotiate rates with carriers and customers on individual spot moves or longer term pricing
Follow guidelines established by the Company.
Ensure that all carriers comply with standards established for an approved carrier.
Manage purchased transportation, including confirmation with carriers, focusing on meeting established service guidelines for each specific customer while taking advantage of the most cost effective service for the customer and Company.
Document and confirm all accessorial charges within process outlined and as required by Company and customers.
Enter all transactions and update all profile information into the computer system.
Operate within the guidelines and contractual obligations established between the customer and Company.
Coordinate all change orders, order cancellations, rush orders, return loads and reconsignments or diversions.
Coordinate and manage daily shipments with plants and other shipping locations as defined by customer, including daily confirmation of coverage and updating of shipper system as required
Coordinate and manage special customer requirements, emergency shipments, and any special loading or unloading requirements.
Confirm all rate changes with carriers and record necessary information for accounting purposes.
Continually contact carriers to fill lanes and find better performing carriers
Share responsibility for after hours on-call coverage
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience in working with the following transportation modes: Intermodal, Truckload, LTL. Dry and Liquid bulk experience is an additional value
Previous Dispatch, Customer Service
Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
Exceptional communication ability with both external and internal customers.
Computer proficiency in WORD, OUTLOOK and EXCEL.
Must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties in an independent manner with minimal supervision.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
