Position Summary:
This is a professional position that assists in the development of sales training programs serving the entire RSD Commercial organization. This individual is responsible for delivering sales training curriculum to a variety of sales professionals with different levels of experience and at all stages of responsibility from entry level to senior leadership roles. This individual will contribute to the success of our sales professionals and maximize their effectiveness by determining and solving training needs and ensuring that they are well-prepared and able to utilize sales tools, commercial resources and product line knowledge to serve customers and drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and continuously improving training programs to ensure that our sales professionals are well prepared and able to provide the highest level of service to our customers.
Deliver training plans that provide customized course offerings to employees at various levels of development including preparing new sales representatives so that they master the sales process through individualized instruction.
Support trainees at all levels with formalized mentoring assignments with employees experienced and proficient in their role.
Work with managers and directors to determine continuous improvement opportunities and identify additional training needs.
Maintain policy and procedural resources for sales professionals; improve training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; support and facilitate product/supplier training and training and understanding of other business functions.
Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Travel up to 30% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Support a sales training strategy that is inclusive of all sales professionals, from all RSD businesses and that integrates with the divisional goal tree and development of a best-in-class selling organization.
Measure the effectiveness of current programs and recommend/implement program improvements.
Utilize existing performance tracking mechanisms and feedback such as the EIS Survey results.
Develop leadership skills and improved career path movement through structured course programs and materials
Using the existing sales process, identify and implement the best training methodology that supports all aspects of the process. Use this methodology as a foundation for training for the various band levels.
Leveraging thermofisheru.com where possible, develop an accessible library of programs and content for quick reference by the sales organization
Define courses and content to be presented; work with manager, sales leadership and third party content creator as appropriate on programs developed and conducted "in house"; conduct training programs as necessary/appropriate.
Coordinate with Human Resources and Thermo Fisher University to maximize training programs
Evaluate existing courses, pillars of sales training, and make recommendations for improvement in order to maximize the value of the programs to the selling organization
Act as a liaison between Sales Force, Lattice and internal functions to coordinate and maximize training sessions
Create and implement a formalized mentor program for the sales organization.
Develop a coaching and reinforcement program for the sales managers.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sciences, business, or organizational development. Successful sales background and/or sales training experience will be considered as well.
To be successful, the candidate will possess strong communication skills, a collaborative demeanor and an understanding of the sales process and embrace a customer-centric approach to business with a commitment to the employees they serve.
Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving productivity improvements is necessary.
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation skills); prior experience conducting adult-level training.
Demonstrated leadership traits and 4-I values (integrity, intensity, innovation and involvement)
An ability to work effectively within a matrixed environment
Solid planning and analysis skills
Ability to travel in peak periods

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
