Position Summary:
The Senior Product Manager fully manages a portfolio of Safety products and suppliers for North America while managing the portfolio to drive growth in the segment.
Key Responsibilities:
This position will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the product category including its application by customers, the breadth of brands and competitors, and the range of category requirements demanded by the laboratory research marketplace. The individual will be able to anticipate suppliers objections and rejections and proactively seek solutions to address them. The individual will deploy strategies to source, negotiate, contract, and implement programs and otherwise drive revenue and profitability growth of the product portfolio. The individual is also responsible for the management of the products/suppliers and supplier negotiations, consistently seeks out broader and higher relationships within the suppliers and effectively balances needs of suppliers across the category. Maintains cross-functional relationships with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, among others. Completes basic proformas including cannibalization, conversion, or new suppliers with support from manager/finance.
The candidate must demonstrate leadership and strong relationship management and negotiation skills. The position of Senior Product Manager has a path toward the position of Category Manager, who leads a team of Product Managers and a large portfolio of product categories.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field. An advanced degree in business is preferred.
3+ years of safety or industrial industry experience, preferably in product management.
10-15% travel in the U.S. and Canada.
Confidence and poise to negotiate and manage a relationship with Director and Vice President level supplier partners.
Knowledge of safety products and applications, actual working laboratory experience, or understanding of customer requirements in laboratory settings.
Sales, marketing, or other commercial functional knowledge.
Ability to develop/implement strategies and sound recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with intuitive understanding of financial drivers.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation, and problem solving skills.
Multi tasking experience, flexibility, and a functional understanding of time and priority management.
Well developed general business acumen with a thorough understanding of financial data and reporting methodologies, various performance metrics and ROI analyses.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
